Jake Costa was Nazareth's top finisher over the weekend as the Golden Flyers' men's golf team hosted its own two-day invitational. Saturday's first round was contested at the Links at Greystone and Sunday's second round was played at Irondequoit Country Club.
Nazareth finished sixth in the six-team tournament with scores of 357 and 353 for a 710 stroke total. University of Rochester, led by medalist Brendan Fain (74-74 -- 148), won the team title with a 612 stroke total. St. Lawrence (627) finished second and was followed by Hobart (638), Clarkson (649), Oswego (666) and Nazareth (710).
Costa finished in a tie for 13th place individually with rounds of 80 and 82 for a 162 total. Newcomer
Brett Randall posted scores of 84 and 82 for a 166 total, good for a tie for 18th place.
Thomas McIntosh (85-83 -- 168) was next in 21st place, followed by
Seth Terzo (92-95 -- 187) in 27th place,
Ray Falso (98-92 -- 190) in 29th place and
Austin Stroup (97-95 -- 192) in 30th place.
