Katelyn Spath each won two matches Friday as Nazareth secured a 7-2 women's tennis victory over Houghton in Empire 8 action.
Nazareth won its fifth straight dual match to improve to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in Empire 8 Conference action. Houghton dropped to 2-6 overall and 2-2 in conference matches.
Guzman and Pullen won in straight sets at first and second singles respectively and Spath was a straight-set winner at sixth singles. Guzman and Pullen earlier combined for an 8-3 victory at first doubles. Spath, meanwhile, teamed with
Theresa Hecht to win 8-6 at third doubles.
Senior
Lauren Carr was a winner at third singles in straight sets and freshman
Lily Bulkeley split the first two sets with Houghton's Maddison Soth, before winning the match with a 6-4 triumph in the third set.
Nazareth is home again Sunday to play Russell Sage at 1 p.m.
