NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- Two golfers competed for the Golden Flyers over the weekend at the Utica Invitational at Yahnundasis Country Club.

Although they were unable to compile a team score, Nazareth got strong individual performances from sophomore Jake Costa and freshman Vincent LeBlond.

Costa posted scores of 78 and 80 for a 158 total on the par-71, 6,792-yard layout to finish in a tie for 13th place individually. LeBlond had scores of 80 and 83 for a 163 total to finish tied for 25th place.

Utica College won the team competition with scores of 313 and 300 for a 613 total. Danny Christy of SUNY Delhi was the top individual finisher with rounds of 73 and 75 for a 6-over-par total of 148.
