GENESEO, N.Y. -- A handful of Nazareth track and field athletes competed Thursday at the Geneseo Mid-Week Invitational and senior Alycia Eaton turned in a record-breaking performance in the 200-meter dash.
Eaton finished second in the 200 with a time of :25.38, a couple of ticks faster than the :25.52 Hannah Brackley posted in 2015. Eaton also finished second in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of :12.66. Additionally, she won the triple jump with a season-best leap of 11.51 meters (37 feet, 9 1/4 inches).
Other competitors included freshman Brenna Johnson, who posted top times in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :12.90 and :26.70 respectively; senior Sara Thomas, who leaped fifth in the triple jump (34 feet, 5 inches); and sophomore Taylor Woltz, who cleared 9 feet, 1 inch in the pole vault.
Nazareth had two competitors in the men's meet -- Matt Johnson in the 200-meter dash and the triple jump and
William Lewis in the 110-meter hurdles, the long jump and the javelin.
