ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Hailey Redders had a goal and an assist Wednesday for host Nazareth as the Golden Flyers defeated Utica in a women's hockey game at the Bill Gray's Iceplex, 3-1.

The game was played as a makeup for the Jan. 19 game that was postponed due to inclement weather. The Golden Flyers defeated Utica by an identical 3-1 score back on Jan. 18 and improved to 15-3-1 overall and 11-3-0 in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference. Wednesday's game was played in under two hours with few stoppages and just two penalties called.

Utica's lone penalty came in the third period and resulted in the Golden Flyers' third goal as Redders netted her team-leading 11th goal off a rebound of a shot by Keeley Rose. Stephanie Kubis also gained an assist. That gave the Golden Flyers a 3-1 cushion with just over five minutes to play.

The game was scoreless until the 18:06 mark of the first period when Mikaila Rubin scored off a rebound of a shot by Redders with Lauren Jones also gaining an assist.

After Utica tied the score in the second period, Nazareth regained the lead for good four minutes later as Hannah Tulchinsky whacked a shot past Utica goaltender Ryann Stripp with assists from Maria Di Cresce and Nikolle Van Stralen. The score went unchanged until Redders' power play tally in the third.
