KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth made short work of Keuka in a non-conference men's volleyball match Wednesday as the Golden Flyers recorded a three-set sweep for their sixth straight win. Scores were 25-13, 25-21, 25-21.

Using a balanced offensive attack that included an overall hitting percentage of .258 (39-16-89), Nazareth improved to 14-6 overall, while the Wolves fell to 4-9. Nazareth plays two important United Volleyball Conference matches this weekend at New Paltz -- Saturday vs. Sage at 1 p.m. and Sunday vs. New Paltz at 3 p.m.

The Golden Flyers got off to a strong start with 14 kills in the opening set for a .400 hitting percentage. Zachary Gillard and Sean Dillon each had three kills in the first set as Nazareth built a commanding 19-10 lead and won decisively.

Nazareth never trailed in the second set and was comfortably ahead until Keuka closed to within 22-20. Nazareth went on to seal the set on kills from Gillard and Garrett Rodi and a Keuka attacking error. Gillard added three more kills in the third set to total seven for the match and Joe Crosby and Antonio Sargent each knocked down two as Nazareth closed out the match. Gillard's kill accounted for the 24th point and was followed by a Keuka attacking error to end the match.

In addition to Gillard, Rodi, Dillon and Sam Bittker each had six kills and Crosby had five. Jake Kemp had three kills, 32 assists and seven digs.
