River Forest, IL – Nazareth faced its third tough test in as many days on Saturday, falling in straight sets to No. 6 Dominican 25-18, 25-19, 25-13 – it was the Golden Flyers final game on its spring break trip. Nazareth finished 1-2 in its matches and is now 16-9 overall, while Dominican moves to 17-7.
Nazareth was plagued in each set by slow starts, getting down 5-1, 7-1, and 5-0 to begin each set. The Stars were on their game from the start and finished with a .403 attack percentage (35 kills, 8 errors, 23 attempts). Meanwhile, Nazareth hit .158 (32 kills, 20 errors, 76 attempts).
Zachary Gillard had a team-leading 10 kills on a .400 attack percentage.
Joe Crosby had an efficient day as well, hitting .455 with six kills on 11 attempts.
