PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Nazareth made short work of Bard in a United Volleyball Conference match Saturday as the Golden Flyers won in three sets by scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-16.
Nazareth improved to 17-9 overall and 4-2 in conference matches. Bard dropped tp 2-16 and 0-6. The Golden Flyers play Elmira Sunday at 1 p.m. in a key conference match at St., John Fisher.
Freshman
Antonio Sargent led the way with 10 kills Saturday. Sophomore
Sean Dillon added nine kills on 11 swings with four blocks. Senior
Sam Bittker had six kills and
Trevor Gooch and
Joe Crosby each had four.
Jake Kemp and
Tyler Farnung split the setting duties with Kemp totaling 21 assists and Farnung 17.
Nazareth hit .342 as a team (40-13-79) and amassed 13 blocks.
Four of Bittker's kills camer in the opening set as Nazareth dominated. Dillon had five more in the second set with Sargent and Gooch each collecting four kills. Sargent had four more kills in the third set and Dillon had three.
