KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- Freshman Jadyn Abrams scored 15 points to lead four players into double-digit scoring but it was not enough as Keuka College defeated Nazareth 62-57 Thursday night in the first loss of the season for the women's basketball team.

Abrams led Nazareth (3-1) with her 15 points while junior Rachel Benedict and sophomore Isabella Gjonaj each added 12 points and junior Lizzie Straub added 11 points to lead the Golden Flyers.

Nazareth led by eight points after a Benedict layup late in the first half but Keuka (3-2) scored the last six points of the second quarter to close the gap to 26-24 by the end of the period.

Gjonaj led off the second half with a basket followed by a Abrams 3-pointer but Keuka stayed close for the first several minutes of the period.

A jumper by Makalah Sizer gave Nazareth a late seven-point lead in the third quarter but the Wolves closed the gap to three at 44-41 by the end of the period.

In the final period, Keuka jumped ahead by five points but a Straub 3-pointer and a Sizer free throw closed the gap to a point at 58-57 with less than a minute to play.

Keuka nailed four of the final five free throws to seal the victory as Nazareth was forced to foul to stop the clock down the stretch.

Gjonaj  led the team with eight rebounds and Sizer had a team-leading four assists and Benedict led the Golden Flyers with five steals.

Nazareth plays next against Dec. 6 against RIT in the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout at 8 p.m. in Kidera Gymnasium.
