HERSHEY, Pa. -- Nazareth's men's golf team finished in sixth place in the team standings upon completion of the final two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament at Hershey Country Club.
Nazareth posted team scores of 359 on Friday and 333 Saturday to finish with a four-round total of 1366, four strokes behind fifth-place Susquehanna. The first two rounds were contested last September at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville. St. John Fisher captured the team title for the seventh year in a row with a 72-hole score of 1250. Stevens finished second with 1285, followed by Moravian (1292), Scranton (1322), Susquehanna (1362), Nazareth (1366), Utica (1379) and Elmira (1466).
Senior
Kyle Bromley was Nazareth's top performer as he placed 11th individually with a four-round score of 329. He shot 85 on Friday and 82 Saturday.
Freshman
Jordan Holley and senior
Jonathan Gerken finished tied for 22nd place individually with four-round scores of 344. Holley had Nazareth's best weekend score with an 80 on Saturday, while Gerken shot 85.
Sophomore
Dominic Cicchetti finished 30th with a 357 total. Freshman
Ian Brotherton was 32nd with 361. Sophomore
David Powlowski only competed in the spring and had weekend rounds of 94 and 99. Frank Szucs of Stevens had four rounds in the 70s, including weekend scores of 78 and 76, to take Player of the Year honors with a 72-hole score of 306.
