Updated StatsGENEVA, NY - The Nazareth College hockey squad fell for the second time in as many days to third ranked Hobart College by a score of 6-2 on Saturday night.
Nazareth drops to 5-9-4 overall and 2-5-1 in ECAC West play, while Hobart improves to 14-2-2 and 7-1, respectively.
The home squad opened up the scoring 6:25 into the game on a goal from Brian Robbins.
Nazareth responded just :23 seconds later on an unassisted goal from
Marcus Moles, his first of the season.
The Statesmen added a power play goal later in the period to regain a one goal lead at 2-1.
In the second period, Hobart was able to gain some distance, scoring three unanswered goals to open up a 5-1 lead.
Jordan Haskell added a goal in the third period for Hobart's final goal of the game.
Nazareth's
John Power added a goal late off assists from
Packy Jones and
Scott Dawson.
Nazareth went 0-6 on the power play, while Hobart cashed in on one of four opportunities.
Ed Zdolshek made 30 saves in net in nearly 52 minutes of play.
Brandon Lane came in relief making six saves.
Nazareth returns to action next Friday when it will host Manhattanville at 7 pm.
