BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. – The Nazareth College men's golf team opened up its 2015 season on Friday at the LeMoyne Fall Preview held at Timber Banks Golf Club.  The squad was back in action on Saturday to finish up the tournament.
After the first day Nazareth combined for a 346 (+59) to sit in 14^th place.  Sean de Herder and Tom Rossini led the day for the Golden Flyers carding 85s (+13) to sit in a tie for 41^st place.

Kyle Bromley was not far behind with an 87 (+15), while C.J. Murray rounded out the scoring with a 90 (+18).

On Day 2, Nazareth registered a 349 (+61) to complete the scoring, finishing in 16^th place.

Bromley and de Herder had the top days for Nazareth with matching 84s (+12).  De herder was the top finisher for Nazareth in a tie for 54^th place, while Bromley ended in a tie for 67^th place.

Rossini carded a 91 to close with a two day total of 175 (+31), while C.J. Murray was the final Golden Flyer scorer (+37), finishing in a tie for 83^rd. 

Nazareth returns to action next weekend on Saturday and Sunday for the Empire Championship, also held at the Timber Banks Golf Club.

In women's golf, Nazareth opened its season at the Empire 8 Tournament at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor. The first round was abbreviated to nine holes due to inclement weather, so final team scores were based on 27 holes.

Nazareth finished in fourth place with a 928 stroke total. Ithaca won the event with a score of 518, followed by St. John Fisher at 557, Elmira at 567 and Nazareth.
Hannah Darr was Nazareth's best individual with a 27-hole total of 197.
