BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Nazareth's strong start in women's basketball continued Saturday as the Golden Flyers won their second non-conference game in as many days in convincing fashion. Senior center Lindsey Kelly scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Nazareth dominated Bryn Mawr from start to finish in a 91-45 victory.

Combined with a 29-point victory at York College Friday, Nazareth improved to 2-0 (winning by a combined score of 163-88) under the direction of first-year coach Kelly Dunne. The Golden Flyers are on the road again Tuesday for another non-conference game at Fredonia at 7 p.m.

After leading all scorers with 21 points Friday, Kelly was assertive again Saturday as she made 9 of 11 shots from the field and has now made 19 of 26 (.731) in the first two games. In addition to Kelly, Fanny Kilpinen scored 13 points, Sam Sorge and Morgan Johnson added nine and Kelly Broderick, Samantha Peebles and Veronica Peck each finished with eight. Colby McCartney scored seven points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Bryn Mawr led 4-2 in the opening minutes, then it was all Nazareth the rest of the way. Peebles nailed a three-pointer with 6:28 left in the first quarter to give Nazareth the lead permanently and to trigger a 19-5 scoring spree that ended with the Golden Flyers up 21-9 after one quarter.

Nazareth's dominating play continued into the second and third quarters, which ended with Nazareth ahead 45-19 and 74-28 respectively. Kilpinen scored six of her points in the second quarter and Kelly scored seven in the third. Johnson scored all nine of her points in the fourth quarter.

Nazareth shot a blistering 54.3 percent from the field (38 for 70) with eight three-pointers. Broderick, Peck and Peebles each made two.
