StatisticsVICTOR, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's golf team posted a 10th-place finish over the weekend at the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championships at Ravenwood Golf Club.
The Golden Flyers had a two-round stroke total of 668 and finished in a tie with Potsdam in the 12-team field. St. John Fisher won the team title with a 7-over-par score of 583. The Cardinals had three of the top five individual finishers. Marywood and St. Lawrence finished in a tie for second place with scores of 617. Oswego (618), New York University (619) and Clarkson (620) were close behind.
Junior
C.J. Murray was Nazareth's top individual as he shot back to back scores of 9-over-par 81 for a 162 total that was good for a tie for 38th place. He was followed by sophomjore
Oliver Janzen with scores of 83 and 84 for a 167 total and a tie for 48th place. Other Nazareth competitors were senior
Tom Mediak (82-86 -- 168); senior
Sean de Herder (83-88 -- 171) and junior
Tom Rossini (87-90 -- 177).
Fisher's Karl Deuble took medalist honors with scores of 72 and 70 for a 2-under-par total of 142, three shots better than teammate Corey Haas.
