ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting Fredonia scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half Tuesday as the Blue Devils erased a two-goal deficit on their way to a 3-2 men's soccer victory over Nazareth in a non-conference game at Golden Flyer Stadium.

Nazareth slipped to 2-3 with its second straight loss. The Golden Flyers open the Empire 8 Conference portion of their schedule Saturday when they host Stevens at 1 p.m. Fredonia won its third straight game to improve to 5-1 overall.

The Golden Flyers looked to be in control early following first-half goals by Ryan Foley and Lucas Bennett. Foley's goal was his third of the season and 24th of his career and came in the game's third minute. He accepted a long cross-field pass from senior James Wheeler and delivered a shot past Blue Devils keeper Sammy Torrelli.

Bennett's goal also was his third of the season and came in the 21st minute. He burst up the right wing after receiving a pass from Ramez Al-Hebshi and fired a shot through the finger tips of Torrelli for a seemingly safe 2-0 Nazareth lead.

The first 10 minutes of the second half belonged to Fredonia as the Blue Devils rallied. Ryan Ross scored on a diving header off an assist from Dan Griffin less than three minutes into the second half. Then Patrick Schuber scored twice in a span of three minutes to complete the comeback. The first goal came off an assist from Mike Biggane, the second after a scramble in front of Nazareth keeper Diego Abreu, who finished with six saves. Torrelli made saves for the Blue Devils.
