ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth freshman
Elisa Marchione scored in the 27th minute to give the Golden Flyers the lead midway through the first half against Allegheny. The Gators' Jamie Thiessen scored the equalizer with only 90 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Neither team was able to muster a shot in the first overtime session. Nazareth outshot Allegheny 4-1 in the second overtime.
Saturday's contest was the second game of the Rachel Miller Memorial Tournament, hosted by RIT. The Golden Flyers fell to Otterbein 2-0 in their game on Friday. The Gators fell to host RIT in double overtime in their first game.

Abbie Carey stopped a shot by Thiessen to keep the game tied. Nazareth's stingy defense did not allow the Gators another shot.
Sophomore Brianna Vibbard had the Golden Flyers' first shot of overtime, which was saved by Gabrielle Curtis. Nazareth's best scoring opportunities came in the final three minutes of the second overtime session as they tallied three shots and had two corner kicks. Junior
Tyler Carr's shot was saved by Curtis while Marchione and senior
Olivia Derleth had shots blocked. Derleth's header followed a corner kick attempt by Carr. Carr had another corner kick in the final seconds of the period, but Nazareth was unable to manufacture a shot.
Marchione's first half goal came at the 26:30 mark. The scoring opportunity was set up by Vibbard and Derleth, who were each credited with an assist.
With only 1:30 remaining in regulation, Allison Buzzard found Thiessen for the game-tying goal. Nazareth senior
Anne Czelusniak made a game-winning attempt with 38 seconds to play in the second half, but her shot was above the crossbar.
The Golden Flyers finished with an 11-8 advantage in total shots, including a 6-5 edge in shots on goal. Carey finished with four saves for Nazareth while Curtis made five saves for the Gators. Allegheny had an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks, including a 5-0 advantage during the second half.
The Golden Flyers are in action again on September 6th when Nazareth hosts Geneseo in a non-conference contest.
