ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting Utica knocked off Nazareth for the second night in a row in men's hockey Saturday as the eighth-ranked Pioneers got a pair of goals from Peter LaFosse in a 5-2 win over the Golden Flyers at the Sports Centre at MCC.
The victory enabled Utica to complete a three-game sweep of the season series with the Golden Flyers, who dropped to 6-16-1 overall and 1-12 in the ECAC West. Utica, which defeated Nazareth 7-1 Friday, improved to 19-4 overall and 10-3 in conference play. Freshman

Tom Seravalli scored third-period goals for the Golden Flyers.
LaFosse scored once in the second period and once in the third for the Pioneers, who outshot Nazareth 46-21 overall.
After a scoreless first period, in which Nazareth goalie
Ed Zdolshek made 15 saves, Utica scored three times in the second period to take control. LaFosse scored off an assist from Mike Slowikowski just 33 seconds into the period to break the scoreless stalemate. Utica's Trever Hertz made it 2-0 less than three minutes later. Evan Chlanda added the third goal on the power play off assists from Slowikowski and Donny Olivieri.
Utica extended its lead to 4-0 as George Lotito scored early in the third. Nazareth avoided the shutout with late goals from Jones and Seravalli, the latter tally coming with just :02 left.
Zdolshek played all 60 minutes in goal for Nazareth and had 41 saves. Nick Therrien had 19 saves for tthe Pioneers.
Saturday's game was the final home contest for the Golden Flyers, who close out their regular-season schedule with games at Neumann Friday and Saturday.
