ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Neumann's Chris Bournazos scored two goals and goalie Braely Torris made 35 saves Saturday as the visiting Knights blanked Nazareth in an ECAC West men's hockey game, 3-0, at the Sports Centre at MCC.

Neumann, ranked 15th nationally in the latest USCHO poll, improved to 12-5-2 overall and 4-5 in the ECAC West. Nazareth dropped to 6-12-1 and 1-8 in conference games.

Bournazos scored just 43 seconds in to the game on a shot over the glove of Nazareth goalie Ed Zdolshek, who finished with 37 saves. Craig Cowie and Jordan Zalba had assists.

In the second period, following a Nazareth turnover, Bournazos scored his second goal of the game and team-leading 12th goal of the season off a pass from Zalba. The Knights added a third-period goal when a shot by Mike Cauley from behind the goal deflected off Zdolshek's leg before crossing the goal line.

Nazareth outshot Neumann 18-5 in the third period, but couldn't score as Torris made all the saves, including 29 over the last two periods to gain his second shutout of the season. Neumann outshot Nazareth 19-6 in the first period, but Zdolshek made 18 saves to keep the Golden Flyers in the game. Nazareth had five power play opportunities, including three in the final 20 minutes, but the Golden Flyers failed to capitalize.

Nazareth's next game is Friday at home against Elmira at 7 p.m.
