Dan Strack and freshman
David Studin posted scores of 80 and 81 respectively Sunday as Nazareth's men's golf team inched up to sixth place in the team standings at the Empire 8 Conference men's golf tournament at Yahnudasis Golf Club. Rounds three and four will be played in the spring.
Nazareth has a team score of 670, good for sixth place. St. John Fisher moved into the lead after posting a second-round total of 291 for a two-round total of 596. Elmira and Scranton are tied for second place with scores of 615. Stevens (656), Susquehanna (666), Nazareth (670), Utica (680), Moravian (695) and Houghton (768) also competed.
Strack's 80 on Sunday followed Saturday's round of 86 to give him a two-round score of 166 for the Golden Flyers. Studin is one stroke behind Strack with a 167 total. Sophomore
Andrew Lund had a team-best score of 79 on Saturday and followed that with 86 Sunday for a two-round score of 165.
