STAMFORD, CT -- Visiting Nazareth had two one-goal leads in the opening 23:16 before Manhattanville scored two goals before the end of the second period and added a third consecutive goal midway through the third period to take a 4-2 lead. The Golden Flyers and Valiants traded goals before the end of regulation to give Manhattanville the 5-3 ECAC West victory. Freshmen

Sean de Herder each scored for the Golden Flyers.
With the loss, Nazareth slips to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in conference contests. The Valiants improve to 2-1-1 overall and in the ECAC West standings. Like Friday's game, Saturday's contest was held in nearby Stamford due to damage done by Hurricane Sandy at Manhattanville's Playland Ice Casino.
Jones opened the scoring for Nazareth in Saturday's game with his third goal of the season. Junior

Alex Silvia were credited with assists on Jones' goal, which he scored just 4:18 into the first period. Senior
Ben Waldman had a shot blocked by the Valiants' defense moments prior to the Golden Flyers' goal.
Manhattanville knotted the score midway through the period with a goal by Scott Hudson. Luc Van Natter and Matt Coleman assisted on Hudson's goal. It was Hudson's second goal of the season.
The Golden Flyers reclaimed the lead less than four minutes into the second period as Nazareth took advantage of a power play opportunity after Hudson was whistled for tripping. Sophomore
Julius Tamasy won three faceoffs in the span of 52 seconds to allow Nazareth's attack to pressure the Valiants. Tamasy also had a shot on goal saved by Brian Fleming before freshman
Scott Dawson scored. Waldman and Tamasy earned assists on Dawson's goal.
Nazareth's lead lasted 1:08 before Adam Young converted a Manhattanville power play chance. Mark Rivera won the preceding faceoff to provide Young the scoring opportunity. The Valiants took their first lead of the game four minutes later on a goal by Craig Simchuk.
After Manhattanville stretched its lead to 4-2 nine minutes into the third period following a goal by Coleman, de Herder answered to trim Nazareth's deficit to one goal with 7:23 to play in regulation. De Herder's goal, his first of the season, was assisted by sophomore
Tom Seravalli. The assist was also Seravalli's first point as a Golden Flyer.
Paul Sirignano added an insurance goal for the Valiants to extend Manhattanville's lead back to two goals with roughly six minutes left in the third period. It was Sirignano's team-leading third tally of the season. The Golden Flyers had a final opportunity to rally after Simchuk was called for hitting from behind with 1:09 left in regulation. Nazareth's power play recorded four shots in the final minute but were unable to cut into the Valiants' lead.
Manhattanville finished with a 47-25 advantage in shots and a 42-30 advantage in faceoffs won. Zdolshek finished with a game-high 42 saves for Nazareth. Fleming tallied 22 saves for his second victory in two nights.
The Golden Flyers host seventh-ranked Hobart in ECAC West conference games on November 16th and 17th. The contests are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. each night.
