NORTH CHILI, N.Y. -- Junior
Kelsey Ryan was Nazareth's top individual fiisher Saturday as the Golden Flyers resumed their cross country seasons at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan.
Ryan finished in 21st place on the 5-kilometer course with a time of 20 minutes, 26 seconds. Nazareth finished sixth in the 12-team field with 153 points. Roberts Wesleyan won the meet with 22 points.
Other top performances included freshman
Meleana Spera in 31st place (20:51); sophomore
Bethany Althaus in 33rd place (20:54); freshman
Michaela Gildemeyer in 39th place (21:01) and junior
Kayleigh Olive in 42nd place (21:06).
In the men's race, Nazareth finished in seventh place in the team standings with 190 points. Rochester was first with 40. Senior
Tim Rutan was Nazareth's top finisher in 27th place on the 8-kilometer layout with a time 27 minute, 59 seconds.
Sophomore
Matt Fedrizzi was next in 39th place (28:26), followed by sophomore
Josh Strough in 51st place (29:16); sophomore
Jake Lafaver in 65th place (30:29) and senior
Dan Polino in 80th place (31:25).
