ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Junior
Tyler Woodward was Nazareth top individual finisher Sunday as Nazareth competed at the McDaniel Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club.
Nazareth finished in 12th place with a two-day total of 690. St. John Fisher won the team title with a score of 625.
Woodward posted rounds of 81 and 83 for a total of 164. Senior
Ben Herrmann finished 59th sith scores of 85 and 92 for a 177 total; junior
Colin Doran was one stroke back with 86 and 92 for a 178 total. Sophomore
Jay Stith also competed and had back to back rounds of 90 for a 180 total.
In the women's tournament, senior
Michelle Van Slyke fired a second-round score of 81 to help Nazareth finish in sixth place in the team standings.
Nazareth had team scores of 406 and 379 for a two-round score of 785. New York University won the tournament with a two-day score of 679.
Van Slyke shot 88 on Saturday for a two-round total of 169, good for sixth place individually. Other Nazareth competitors were sophomore
Jenee Vanderstyne, who finished 20th after rounds of 98 and 90; freshman #Jamie Schmidt, who finished 25th with rounds of 103 and 96; sophomore
Mindy Fowler, who shot 117 and 112; and freshman
Alyssa Moffat, who shot 132 and 134.
