ALFRED, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth led by as many as 14 points in the first half Friday before Alfred rallied to take a 75-66 women's basketball victory over the Golden Flyers.
The loss was the seventh straight for the Golden Flyers, who dropped to 8-16 overall and 4-11 in Empire 8 Conference play. Alfred evened its overall record at 10-10 and improved to 5-10 in conference games.

Brittany Wilson scored 18 points for the Golden Flyers, who surged to a 23-9 lead in the first 12 minutes of play. Junior
Brittany TallChief, who had 16 points and nine rebounds, hit two free throws with 8:05 left in the first half to give Nazareth a 14-point advantage.
Alfred then embarked on a 24-4 scoring spree over the last eight minutes of the half to take the lead , 33-27, at the half. Alfred's Courtney Lincoln spearheaded the rally by scoring 13 of her 19 points in the first 20 minutes. She converted a three-point play with :50 left in the half to give the Saxons their first lead since early in the game, 29-27.
Autumn McLain scored with :35 left and Lincoln added two free throws with :03 left to give the Saxons a six-point lead at the half.
The game stayed close through the first 10 minutes of the second half and Nazareth regained the lead briefly at 47-46 following a pair of free throws by freshman Rebecca Rumschik.
Alfred's Lyndsay Murphy hit a three-pointer on the Saxons' next possession and Lincoln added a free throw a few seconds later and the Saxons were up 50-47 and never trailed again.
McLain had game highs in points (22) and rebounds (20), Murphy had 21 and Lincoln 19. In addition to Wilson and TallChief, junior

The Golden Flyers close out their season Saturday at home against Utica at 2 p.m.
