HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Host Stevens handed Nazareth its fourth straight women's basketball defeat Friday as the Ducks never trailed in a 65-50 victory over the Golden Flyers.
Stevens, with its second win over the Golden Flyers this season, improved to 16-5 overall and 9-3 in the Empire 8 Conference. Nazareth dropped to 8-13 overall and 4-8 in conference games.

Brittany Patenaude added 14, but the Golden Flyers could not overcome Stevens' 45-31 rebounding advantage, which included 17 offensive boards. As a result, Stevens turned a four-point halftime lead, 26-22, into a 15-point win.
The Ducks bolted to a 16-8 lead in the first eight minutes, but Nazareth was able to claw back to within one, 20-19, following a three-pointer by Wilson with 3:33 left in the half. Patenaude also nailed a three-pointer in the closing minute, but Stevens got a bucket by Victoria Webber just before the halftime horn to give the Ducks a four-point lead, 26-22.
Stevens opened the second half with a 10-1 scoring run and were in control the rest of the way. Nazareth came back to within six points, 39-33, on two foul shots by Patenaude with 11:01 left, but an 11-2 scoring run pushed Stevens' lead to double digits, peaking at 17 points on two free throws by Victoria O'Connor with 2:21 left.
Jillian Barrett led Stevens with 15 points and eight rebounds. Webber added 11.
Nazareth plays again Saturday at Hartwick at 2 p.m.
