ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Brittany Wilson, a sophomore forward on the Nazareth College women's basketball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the seven-day period that ended Nov. 29.

Wilson, of Fairport, N.Y. and a graduate of Fairport High School, helped the Golden Flyers remain unbeaten at 4-0 with last Tuesday's 69-55 upset win over the University of Rochester. Wilson scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Golden Flyers never trailed in the game.

Wilson leads the Golden Flyers in scoring (14.8 ppg.) and rebounding (7.8 per game) through four games in 2009-10. Nazareth opens its Empire 8 Conference schedule Friday at Elmira at 6 p.m. The Golden Flyers also are home Sunday to play Utica at 12 p.m.
