ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- In an unusual scheduling quirk, Nazareth won a pair of Empire 8 women's volleyball matches Saturday -- one at home and one at Utica. The Golden Flyers ran their winning streak to six matches with three-set sweeps over St. John Fisher (25-18, 25-13, 25-20) and Utica (25-10, 25-18, 25-10). Nazareth improved to 12-7 overall and 5-0 in E8 matches. Fisher is 2-3 in conference matches and 3-13 overall. Utica is 1-4 and 5-10.

Amy Johnson and sophomore
Kassandra Buseck each tallied eight kills to lead all other players in the home match against Fisher.
Nazareth held Fisher to negative hitting percentages in each of the first two sets. The Cardinals were only able to total seven kills and eight errors in the first set and six kills and seven errors in the second set. In the third set, Fisher managed a hitting percentage of .100 with seven kills and five hitting errors. Five different Golden Flyers recorded blocks to stymie the Cardinals' offensive attack. Maria Allocco had three total blocks to lead Nazareth.

Aubrey Cooke chipped in four kills and three kills, respectively.
Senior
Brittany Crocetti finished with a match-high 20 assists for Nazareth, and Cooke recorded an additional 14 assists. The Golden Flyers finished with a dominant 12-3 advantage in service aces. Cooke, Beecher, and Johnson each tallied three aces.
In the second match at Utica, Nazareth had a balanced offensive attack with sophomore #Chelsea Beecher delivering six kills, Allocco five and Johnson and Buseck four each. Crocetti had 23 assists and six digs and Johnson had four service aces.
Nazareth is home Tuesday for a non-conference match against RIT at 7 p.m.
