Nazareth sweeps Brockport

Golden Flyers win fourth straight match

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth won its fourth straight women's volleyball match Wednesday as sophomore Kassandra Buseck knocked down 12 kills in a three-set triumph over Brockport. Scores were 25-16, 25-22, 25-19.

Nazareth, now 10-7 overall, plays two Empire 8 Conference matches Saturday. The Golden Flyers host St. John Fisher at 10 a.m., then travel to Utica for a 5 p.m. match. Brockport is 4-14.

Buseck's 12 kills came against just one hitting error in 17 attempts for a .647 hitting percentage. Sophomore Maria Allocco added 11 kills, junior Amy Johnson added 12 digs and four solo blocks and senior Brittany Crocetti had 25 assists.

The Golden Flyers hit .316 as a team overall with just 13 hitting errors on 98 swings. Senior Aubrey Cooke contributed 12 assists and sophomores Kat Race and Olivia Harrigan each had nine digs.
