ALFRED, N.Y. -- The Golden Flyers beat the Houghton Highlanders 3-2 in a women's volleyball match Friday night in Empire 8 Conference Crossover action at Alfred University. Scores were 19-25, 29-27, 23-25, 25-21, 15-12. The win brings Nazareth to 7-7 overall and 1-0 in the E8. The Highlanders fall to 5-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Nazareth's Olivia Harrigan and Kassandra Buseck totaled 14 kills each and Maria Allocco added another 12 for the Golden Flyers in their match against Houghton. Senior Brittany Crocetti had a team high 45 assists to set up kills for Harrigan, Buseck, and Allocco.

On the defensive end, senior Amy Johnson and freshman Jennifer Goodman had digs in the double digits. Johnson had 10 and Goodman 17.

The Golden Flyers look to earn two more wins Saturday in Empire 8 match-ups against host Alfred at 10 a.m. and Elmira and 12:30 p.m.
