GENESEO, N.Y. -- The Geneseo Blue Knights won their 27th straight fall season dual match Tuesday as they swept all singles matches and went on to take an 8-1 victory over visiting Nazareth at the Letchworth Tennis Courts. The match was the season opener for both teams.

Nazareth secured its only point at third doubles with the tandem of junior Sherrita Wilkins and freshman Cara Yinger winning 8-5.  Freshman Christine Cary also dropped a close match at sixth singles, losing in a tiebreaker 4-6, 6-4, 10-2.

Geneseo's Monica Vieth won at first singles and first doubles to pace the Blue Knights.

Nazareth opens its Empire 8 Conference schedule this weekend with a match at Stevens Saturday at 12 p.m.
