Biography
Physical Therapy major… born 12/9/94… daughter of John and Marion Hicks, Greenville, N.Y… returning for her fourth season, Hicks played in all 36 matches in 2014 and 127 sets… totaled 285 kills as a middle blocker (2.24 per set) with a .253 hitting percentage… also led the team with 116 total blocks (0.91 per set)… named to all-tournament team at Red Dragon Invitational at Cortland… reached double digits in kills 10 times, including a career-high 15 kills in a four-set triumph at Union on 9/13/14… had a career-best nine blocks vs. Virginia Wesleyan on 10/11/14.
2013: had 172 kills and finished second on the team with 75 total blocks, including 22 solo… had a career-best 13 kills in a four-set win at Buffalo State on 10/16/13.
2012: played in 13 matches and 30 sets overall … suffered a leg injury that required surgery and missed the last 23 matches… had 27 kills and 21 blocks… had six kills in a win over Fredonia on 9/1/12.
Scholastic: a graduate of Greenville High School, Hicks competed in volleyball, basketball, softball and track… played four seasons of varsity volleyball and was chosen Patroon Conference MVP in 2011… also a two-time team MVP, Hicks helped team to conference titles in 2008 and 2011… set school record in shot put with toss of 33 feet, ½ inch.
