Undecided on major . . . born 03/31/91. . . daughter of Jay and Julie Vanderstyne, Victor, N.Y. . . a graduate of Victor High School and younger sister of teammate Carra, Vanderstyne was a standout in volleyball, basketball and softball. . . as a senior on the volleyball team, Vanderstyne was named Monroe County’s Player of the Year in Division III, Daily Messenger Player of the Year, first-team all-state, first-team all-Greater Rochester, and Section Five Class A MVP. . . as a junior, Vanderstyne earned first-team all-league honors and was named to the Section Five all-tournament team. . . also named to the all-tournament team as a sophomore. . . played in the Exceptional Senior Game and received second-team all-league honors during her senior basketball season. . . as a senior on the softball team, Vanderstyne received second-team all-state, first-team all-Greater Rochester, and first-team all-league honors. . . named to the Class A all-tournament team during her junior season. . . received the 2009 Victor Female Athlete of the Year award. . . helped volleyball team to state championship in 2008, regional and sectional championships in 2007 and 2008, and the league championship four consecutive seasons. . . helped softball team to regional and sectional championships in 2007 and 2009 and helped team win the league championship five straight seasons. . . a member of National Honor Society.
