Melissa McGwin, former volleyball standout at Niagara University, is back for her second season as a part-time assistant coach in 2017.
A native of Rochester, McGwin played one season at Coastal Carolina before transferring to Niagara, where she played regularly for three seasons. She totaled nearly 700 kills and 300 blocks during her time there and was a second-team all-star in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for 2015.
She graduated from Niagara in 2016 with a degree in Psychology.
McGwin played scholastically at Hilton High School and helped the Cadets to two Section Five titles. She also competed for the Volley FX Club team.
