Nazareth College Athletics

Son of Tim and Krista Insley, Webster, N.Y... returns for his third full season after starting all 25 games he played in last season... led the nation in assist to turnover ratio (6.75) and was second in the country in assists per game at 6.5... only player in the Empire 8 to have over 100 assists (162)... had just 24 turnovers all year... scored a career-high 16 points against Rochester on 11/16/23... notched a career-high 11 assists against Alfred on 1/6/24... had 14 double-digit scoring performances... went 88-for-166 (.530) from the floor... named to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators (CSC), a recognition for the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom... selected to US Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Rochester Chapter Men's Basketball All-Star team... earned NABC Honors Court for having over a 3.2 GPA... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Conference Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above in both the fall and spring semesters.
 

2022-23: appeared in all 27 games as a sophomore … averaged 5.3 points per game and led the team in free throw percentage (31-for-34 .838) among players with at least 20 made free throws for the season … also averaged 1.4 rebounds and was second on the team with 72 assists and just 20 turnovers making him just shy of the 3.0 assists per game to be listed among the national leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.42) … had five double-digit scoring performances including a season-high 14 points against Alfred (2/24) in the Empire 8 Tournament semifinal game … missed just one free throw (12-for-13) over the first 15 games of the season.

2021-22: opted out of the 2021-22 season to preserve a year of eligibility.

Scholastic: a graduate of Webster Schroeder High School, Insley played four seasons of basketball there... amassed more than 1,000 career points to finish as the school's all-time leading scorer... named as a first-team All-Greater Rochester selection by the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a first-team Monroe County League all-star in 2021... member of National Honor Society and a summa cum laude (highest honors) graduate.
