Visual Communication Design major...  team captain... daughter of Dan and Carolyn Benedict, Brockport, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Benedict was spectacular for the Golden Flyers in 2018-19 as she started all 26 games and led the Golden Flyers in scoring (17.6 ppg.) and rebounding (10.8 rpg.) on her way to being named Empire 8 Player of the Year... shot .438 (158-for-361) from the field and .723 (102-141) from the free-throw line and ranked second on the team with 40 three-point baskets... ranked first on the team with 39 steals... surpassed the 1,000-point mark in career scoring and enters the 2019-20 season ranked 10th all-time with 1,163 points... earned first-team all-E8 and first-team all-East Region by d3hoops.com... named to the Rochester Area College all-star team by the United States Basketball Writers Association... named Empire 8 Player of the Week five times -- 11/12/18, 1/7/19, 1/14/19, 1/28/19 and 2/11/19... scored in double figures 25 times and scored 20 points or more nine times... posted 16 double-doubles (points-rebounds) and equaled a career high with 18 rebounds against Clarkson on 12/29/18... named MVP of Susquehanna Tip-Off Tournament as she combined 25 points with 10 rebounds in a 63-59 win ov v er Susquehanna in the title game.

2017-18: Benedict started all 25 games for the Golden Flyers in 2017-18 and served as the top returning scorer and rebounder with averages of 16.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game... ranked second in the Empire 8 in both scoring (behind teammate Samantha Peebles) and rebounding... also made 51 three-point baskets and shot .381 (51-for-124) beyond the arc and .782 (68-for-87) from the free-throw line... scored in doubles figures 21 times, including a career-high of 28 points against Stevens on 2/3/18... had 12 double-doubles (points-rebounds) and had a career-best 18 rebounds against Utica on 1/26/18... earned first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors... twice honored as E8 Player of the Week for 1/15/18 and 2/12/18... also a first-team selection to the Rochester area chapter of the United States Basketball Writers Association.

2016-17: made an instant impact as a freshman by averaging 11.4 points and a team-best 8.9 rebounds per game for the Golden Flyers in 2016-17... her 8.9 rebounds per game ranked in a tie for fourth in the conference... shot 43.5 percent (103-for-237) from the floor and 73.1 percent (57-for-78) from the free throw line... also made 21 three-point baskets... recorded 13 double-digit scoring contests and had seven double-doubles... scored season-high 25 points twice -- against Thiel on 11/18/16 and against Hartwick on 2/17/17 … recorded season-high 15 rebounds against St. John Fisher on 1/26/17 and Alfred on 1/28/17 … named the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and E8 Rookie of the Week five times.

Scholastic: a graduate of Brockport High School, Benedict was a four-year standout there... a three-time Monroe County League all-star and a 2016 All-Greater Rochester selection by the Democrat and Chronicle... amassed 1,180 career points, second most in Brockport school history... averaged more than 20 points per game as a senior and was selected to play in Ronald McDonald Senior all-star game... four-time recipient of the Nat Lester Award for having the highest number of assists, steals and three-point field goals... competed for the Western New York Lady Lakers club team... member of the High Honor Roll and recipient of Michael Pratt Photography Scholarship.
