Biography
Social Sciences major… born 2/3/88. . . daughter of John and Eileen Dunne, East Northport, NY… team captain. . . returning for her fourth season, Dunne appeared in all 25 of the Golden Flyers' games in 2008-09, including 24 as a starter. . . led the team in assists (74) and steals (41) and ranked third in scoring at 6.4 points per game. . . also tallied 57 rebounds and four blocked shots. . . recorded 17 points against William Smith (11/25/08) and 16 points against St. John Fisher (2/7/09). . . currently third in team history in free throw percentage with .750 (126-168). . . begins the season ranked fifth all-time in three-point field goals made with 113 and is ninth in three-point field goal percentage with .313 percent. . .
2007-08: Dunne played solidly for the Golden Flyers, starting 24 of 25 games and finishing second on the team in scoring at 9.9 points per game. . . led team in assists (3.0 per game), steals (1.2 per game) and three-point baskets (46). . . named to the JPMorgan Chase all-tournament team. . . reached double figures in scoring 13 times, including a career-high 20 points in a win at St. John Fisher 2/5/08. . . scored 18 points vs. Stevens 1/5/08. . . had a career-high eight assists vs. RIT 1/22/08. . .
2006-07: played in 25 games, including 24 as a starter, averaged 9.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game... also led the team in three-point baskets (41), assists (76) and steals (53) and shot 88.4 percent from the free-throw line (38 for 43). . . reached double figures in points 11 times, including a season-high of 19 points at Ithaca 1/19/07. . . hit game-winning three-point basket as time expired in a 69-67 win over RIT 1/11/07. . .
Scholastic: a graduate of Northport High School, Dunne was a member of the basketball team for four seasons… helped team to state semifinals and received Class AA all-state honors in senior year…holds the all-time school record for three point shots made in a season…also competed on the soccer and lacrosse teams. . . earned Suffolk County all-star honors as a midfielder in lacrosse and helped team to two Long Island titles and two trips to the state semifinals. . . older brother Greg was an All-American basketball player for the Golden Flyers and now is the head men's coach at SUNY Brockport.
