Pittsford native Jackie Ward joined the women's basketball coaching staff for 2011-12 after a fine four-year playing career at Division I Binghamton University.
Ward graduated from Binghamton in 2011 with a degree in English Literature and Rhetoric. On the hardwood, Ward was a consistent contributor to the Bearcats' basketball team. In 2010-11, Ward played in 26 of the team's 30 games and averaged 7.5 points per game. She started all 30 games in 2009-10 and averaged 10.9 points per game. She was named to the America East Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2009 and 2010 and twice helped the Bearcats to berths in the conference tournament semifinals.
Ward was a scholastic standout player at Pittsford Mendon High School and was selected first-team all-state in 2006-07 and was named Division III Player of the Year.
Ward's coaching experience includes coaching at the Pittsford Girls' Basketball Camp for four summers and serving as a clinician for the Rising Stars Basketball Camp in Binghamton.
