A 2008 graduate of Niagara University, Ashley Cornett returns to Devin Gotham's staff for her fourth season as a part-time assistant coach.
Cornett is a native of Campbell, N.Y., and played scholastically for Campbell-Savona High School, where she was a four-time team MVP, three-time team captain and two-time Section Five all-star.
After suffering a serious knee injury, she earned a walk-on position as a guard for the Purple Eagles at Niagara, and became a scholarship player by her senior season. As a testament to her hard work and dedication, Cornett received the Purple Eagles' Coaches' Award.
Cornett was a Tourism and Sports Management major at Niagara, and received MAAC all-academic honors as a sophomore and a junior.
