Biography

SENIOR…Psychology major with Inclusive Education. . . daughter of Terry and Terri Sharpe, Rochester, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Sharpe played in 25 games, including five as a starter in 2006-07  . . . averaged 7.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. . . playing time was limited as she continued to recover from a knee injury. . . reached double figures in points seven times, including a season-high 19 points at Elmira 1/20/07. . . 2005-06: Sharpe played in 22 games, including 21 as a starter and led the team in scoring (14.6 points per game) and rebounding (9.0 per game). . . earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors. . . season ended prematurely with a knee injury at Utica 2/11/06 that required reconstructive surgery. . . reached double figures in scoring 18 times and in rebounding 10 times. . . had 20 points or better five times, including a career-high of 27 points at Ithaca 1/7/06. . . had a career-best 16 rebounds against Hartwick 1/28/06. . . 2004-05: played in all 24 games and contributed 6.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. . . led the team in free-throw accuracy (39-for-51, .765) and was second in field goal percentage (57-for-118, .483). . . twice named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week (for periods ending 1/16/05 and 2/6/05). . . reached double figures in scoring seven times, including a season-high 13 points against Roberts Wesleyan (1/15/05). . . went 8-for-8 from the free-throw line in win at Hartwick (1/29/05). . . Scholastic: a graduate of Aquinas Institute, Sharpe was a three-sport standout there. . . a four-year starting forward in basketball, Sharpe amassed 1,406 career points and earned an array of accolades, including first-team all-state, first-team all-Greater Rochester, and was a two time Section Five all-star selection. . . served as team captain in 2002 and 2003, and was a four-time team MVP player…named finalist for WHAM Radio’s Sportswoman of the Year and was the recipient of the Aquinas senior scholar female athlete award. . . was a four-year starting goalkeeper in soccer… helped team to state soccer titles in 2001 and 2002. . . also a three-year starter as a first baseman in softball. . . recipient of  U.S. Army Scholar-Athlete award.
