Duane Fregoe

Duane Fregoe joined the coaching staff for both the Nazareth University Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams in 2023 prior to the start of the Fall season.

Fregoe brings more than 50 years of experience to the position with several years working locally in the Rochester tennis community.

A graduate of Caledonia-Mumford High School where he won multiple Livingston County titles as a member of the tennis team, Fregoe went on to play tennis for Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY and was also a coach for the newly formed Clarkson Women’s Tennis team while an undergraduate. He played #1 singles and doubles for the Golden Knights.

After college, Fregoe taught tennis at summer camps and eventually became a certified tennis instructor as a member of the US Tennis Registry.

Fregoe has played competitively in Rochester for several years as a doubles playing partner with head coach Paul Waida. He has been a member of the Tennis Club of Rochester since 2017 and has also held membership at the Salmon Creek Racquet Club.
