A standout player at Judson University in Elgin, Ill. for the past two seasons, Mark Howlett joins the Nazareth staff this fall as a part-time assistant coach.

A native of Portsmouth, England, Howlett was Judson's leading scorer in 2006 and 2007 as he amassed 39 goals and was twice named as an NAIA All-American.

A graduate of Mayfield High School, Howlett also played two seasons (2004 and 2005) at Roberts Wesleyan and scored 16 goals for the Raiders during that stretch.

Howlett helped Judson to two Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference titles and two Region VII championships. Judson also made two trips to the NAIA National Tournament.

Howlett is certified to coach with a "D" level license from the U.S. Soccer Federation. He also is certified through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
