Global Business and Leadership major...  son of Kevin and Rochelle Underwood, Kirkville, N.Y... returning for his fifth season, Underwood decided to exercise an extra season of eligibility awarded by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic... played in 11 games for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 season and finished third on the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game... averaged 3.5 rebounds per game and shot a team-best 54.0 percent (47-for-87) from the field... had seven games with double digit points, including a career-high of 27 points  (10-for-15 from the field) against Rochester on 2/26/21... named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for 3/1/21... also had 18 points and seven rebounds against Elmira on 3/3/21... represented the Golden Flyers on the Honors Court (3.20 GPA or better), sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

2019-20: Underwood played a key role for the Golden Flyers in 2019-20 as he appeared in all 27 games and averaged 11.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game... finished second on the team (and third in the Empire 8) in field goal percentage at 57.5 percent (119-for-207)... produced double digit point totals 19 times, including a career-best 22 points against Penn State Harrisburg on 1/4/20... added 20 points in a win at Sage on 1/17/20... grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds in a win over Elmira on 1/25/20... passed for five assists on four separate occasions... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.

2018-19: Underwood played in 25 games for the Golden Flyers in 2018-19 and contributed 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game... shot 56.9 percent (29-for-51) from the field and 78.9 percent (15-for-19) from the free-throw line... had a season-best nine points against Washington & Lee on 12/16/18.

2017-18: Underwood played in all 28 games for the Golden Flyers in 2017-18 and averaged 2.4 point per game and went 25-for-34 from the free-throw line (.735)... scored a season-best 12 points in an overtime win at RIT on 12/7/17.

Scholastic: a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, Underwood played two seasons of varsity basketball there... served as team captain in 2016-17 while averaging better than 19 points per game and was recognized on the all-Central New York team by syracuse.com... helped team to Section Three title in 2016.
