Physical Therapy major... son of Jeff and Tracy Stenglein, Rochester, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, Stenglein was spectacular for the Golden Flyers in 2017-18, earning an array of honors, including third-team All-America honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches... started 26 games (missed two due to injury) and led the team in scoring at 19.1 points per game... also averaged 4.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game... reached double figures in points 23 times, had 20 points or better 13 times, 30 points or more four times, including a career-high of 35 points (on 13-for-17 shooting) in a win at Stevens on 1/19/18... had four double-doubles (points-rebounds)... named Empire 8 Player of the Year and first-team all-conference... named first-team all-East Region by the NABC and d3hoops.com... named Player of the Year by the United States Basketball Writers Association Rochester Chapter... named E8 Player of the Week three times (2/26/18, 1/22/18 and 1/2/18).

2016-17: Stenglein enjoyed a sensational season for the Golden Flyers as he led the Empire 8 Conference and ranked 56th nationally in scoring at 20.2 points per game and was second on the Golden Flyers in rebounding at 7.3 per game... also led the team in steals (35) and was second in assists at 3.1 per game... shot .454 (173-for-381) from the field and .694 (129-for-186) from the free-throw line... also led the E8 in assist-turnover ratio at 2.30... earned first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors and third-team all-East Region by d3hoops.com... twice recognized as E8 Player of the Week (for 12/5 and 12/19/16)... missed two games due to injury, but reached double figures in scoring in the 24 other games and had season highs in points (32) and rebounds (14) in a home-court win over Utica on 1/12/17... scored 20 points or better 14 times.

2015-16: Stenglein was named the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and second-team all-conference in 2015-16 after averaging 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assist per game... led the Empire 8 conference in minutes per game (35.2) ... scored in double figures in 21 of 26 games ... named the Empire 8 Rookie of the week six times ... posted career highs in points (29) and rebounds (10) against Stevens on 1/22/16... passed for a career-high 10 assists at Elmira on 1/9/16... finished second on the team with 32 steals ... shot 46.3 percent from the floor (144-for-311) and 72.8 percent (91-for-125) from the foul line.

2014-15: Did not play due to injury.

Scholastic: a graduate of Irondequoit High School, Stenglein excelled in basketball and baseball there... was a first-team Monroe County League all-star in basketball as well as Division 2 Player of the Year in 2013... also a first-team All-Greater Rochester selection by the Democrat and Chronicle... helped team to league titles in 2013 and 2014 as well as Section Five title in 2011... missed 2013-14 season with a leg injury.
