Psychology major. . . born 02/21/93… daughter of George and Bernadine Buseck, Johnstown, N.Y… returning for her fourth season, Buseck emerged as a dominant outside hitter for the Golden Flyers in 2013 as she appeared in all 38 matches and 130 sets and led the team in kills with 355 (2.73 per set)… posted a .253 hitting percentage and had 69 blocks… named as a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star… posted double-digit kill totals in 13 matches with a career-high of 23 kills in a five-set loss to NYU on 11/1/13… had eight solo blocks in a five-set win over Lebanon Valley on 8/30/13… twice honored as E8 Player of the Week (10/14/13 and 11/4/13).

2012: played well for the Golden Flyers as she appeared in 36 matches and 133 sets and ranked third on the team with 266 kills… had 49 digs and 61 blocks… reached double digits in kills 11 times, including a season-best 15 kills in a five-set win over Clarkson on 9/7/12… hit .647 (12-1-17) in a three-set sweep of Brockport on 9/26/12… also hit .375 (13-4-24) in a four-set win at Elmira in the Empire 8 Tournament semifinals on 11/3/12.

2011: played in 25 matches and had 78 kills with 23 digs and 15 blocks… named to all-tournament team for RIT Invitational.

Scholastic: a graduate of Johnstown High School, Buseck was a member of the varsity volleyball and softball teams...as a member of the volleyball team, Buseck earned first-team all-league honors as a junior and a senior and second-team accolades as a sophomore... Buseck also received Most Outstanding and Most Dedicated awards as a junior and a senior and was recognized as the MVP at several tournaments throughout her career... as a member of the softball team, Buseck received honorable mention all-league honors as a sophomore and a junior...recipient of several awards, including the University of Albany Multicultural Academic Award and the Spanish Award for having the highest grade-point average.
