Nursing major. . . born 10/12/93... daughter of Christopher and Patricia Race, Glenmont, N.Y… returning for her fourth season, Race appeared in all 38 matches and 111 sets overall for the Golden Flyers in 2013… delivered 26 service aces and 178 digs… had a career-best six aces to go with 14 digs in a four-set win over Cortland on 9/14/13… had a season-high 15 digs in a season-opening five-set win over Lebanon Valley on 8/30/13…  named as Nazareth’s representative as Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year.
 
2012: played regularly for the Golden Flyers, appearing in 35 matches and 99 sets… had 140 digs and 17 service aces… had four aces in a three-set win over Alfred on 9/22/12… had a season-high 12 digs in a five-set loss to Ithaca on 10/21/12… served as Nazareth’s representative as Empire 8 volleyball Sportswoman of the Year.

2011: played in 36 matches and served as one of the team’s top defenders… amassed 121 digs, including a career-best 18 digs in a three-set win over Stevens on 9/25/11… also had 14 digs in a loss to Elmira on 9/24/11.

Scholastic: a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, Race was a member of the varsity volleyball team for four seasons and the varsity softball team for three seasons… helped the volleyball team to the Colonial Council title during each of her four seasons as well as four Section Two titles and four trips to the state semifinals… recipient of third-team all-state honors as a senior and was a first-team Colonial Council all-star as a junior and a senior… received the NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Award and was a team captain in 2010… during her softball career, Race received Colonial Council honorable mention accolades in 2007 and 2008 and was team captain during her senior season… also received the 2010-2011 Senior Sportsmanship Award and the 2010-2011 Scholar Athlete Award… Race was a scholar athlete and was awarded several scholarships, including the Greater Ravena Area Lions Club Scholarship, Selkirk Cogen Scholarship, Seana Hazelton Memorial Scholarship, Angela Stott Memorial Scholarship and Delmar Rotary Club Scholarship… honored with the 2011 Sports Foundation of the Capital Region Scholar Athlete Award and was a member of National Honor Society.
