Scholastic: a graduate of Edmeston Central High School, Slentz was a five-year member of the varsity soccer team and was a three-year captain. . . also competed on the varsity basketball team for four seasons, the softball team for three seasons, and the track and field team for one season. . . was a four-time Tri-Valley League all-star in soccer, a two-time all-star on the softball team, and received all-star honors on the basketball team. . . was a Daily Star all-star as a junior and senior while on the soccer team. . . helped soccer team to Tri-Valley League and Section Four Championship in 2007 and 2008, and the Class D State co-championship in 2008. . . helped softball team to Tri-Valley League championship in 2006 and 2007. . . received Class of 2009 Salutatorian honors, was a member of all-county band, received the Clark Scholarship, participated in several community service positions and was an honor roll student.
