Psychology major… born 9/11/91… daughter of Eric Niebuhr, Sauquoit, N.Y… competing in her second season of volleyball, Niebuhr made an immediate impact for the Golden Flyers in 2010 by appearing in 36 matches… tallied 77 kills, 47 total blocks and 24 digs and her 17 solo blocks placed her second on the team in the category… named to the all-tournament team for Golden Flyer Invitational... recognized as Nazareth’s representative as Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year… Niebuhr is also a member of the Golden Flyers’ track and field team… during the 2010-11 indoor season, Niebuhr won NYSCTC championship in the high jump and set Nazareth’s school record with a leap of 5’ 4 ¼” (1.63 meters) at St. Lawrence (2/25/11) … during the outdoor season, Niebuhr exceeded her previous outdoor school record with a mark of 5’ 3” (1.60 meters) at the Muehlenberg Invitational (4/2/11) …
Scholastic: a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central, Niebuhr competed on the varsity track and field team for five seasons and the varsity volleyball team for three seasons… helped track team to five Section Three titles… a two-time Center State Conference all-star and conference champion in the high jump… earned scholar-athlete honors five times… also involved in community service for Upstate Cerebral Palsy.
