ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Golden Flyers battled #4 RIT through a competitive first half, but 10 unanswered goals after the break allowed the Tigers to pull away for a 22-8 win Wednesday night. Nazareth falls to 0-2, while RIT moves to 3-0.
 
How It Happened:

• RIT got on the board first, scoring three goals in just under a four minute span to take a 3-0 lead.
• Then, the Golden Flyers responded with two goals by William O'Neill at the end of the first quarter, cutting the lead to 3-2. 
• RIT got off to another fast start in the second quarter, scoring three goals in 1:42 to extend their lead to 6-2. 
• Four minutes later, Kyle Rosenberger responded to get Nazareth back within three.
• After two more RIT goals, William O'Neill would score to make it 8-4 RIT. 
• Both teams scored two more times to close out the second half with RIT leading 10-6. Louis Cogliandro and Matthew Farrington got the goals for Nazareth. 
• The second half is where RIT would pull away, scoring 10 unanswered goals before Kyle Rosenberger scored to end the run.
• RIT would score two more followed by a goal from Louis Cogliandro in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter.
