HAMBURG, NY – The sixth-ranked Nazareth women's hockey team produced its highest goal scoring output of the season on Friday, downing Hilbert 8-0.
Ella Cedrone led the Golden Flyers with her first-career hat trick to go along with an assist. In addition,
Amy Laskowski tied the single season record for goals with 23, tying Ally Watrous from the 2021-22 season. Nazareth moves to 21-0-1 and 11-0 in UCHC play, while Hilbert drops to 1-20-1 and 0-11 in league play.
How it Happened:
- Nazareth's first seven goals came even strength, while the final was on the power play.
- Marina McCann scored her first-career goal with nearly four minutes remaining in the opening period.
- The second period saw four goals on the board for Nazareth, two of which came from Cedrone. Ella Konrad and Meredith Boettcher had the other goals.
- In the third period, Corsica Skibinski and Laskowski netted even strength goals. Cedrone tallied the final goal on the power play.
- Lenny Manning got the start, securing the win with five saves.
Game Notes:
- Brooke Judkiewicz had three assists. She leads the team with 18 assists on the year.
- Four players had two points with Ella Konrad, Skibinski, and Laskowski all going for 1 goal and 1 assist. Nikki Sharp had two assists.
- Logan Marchese and Lindsay Moses each had an assist
- Laskowski now has 40 points on the year with 23 goals and 17 assist.
