#6 Women's Hockey Earns Fifth-Straight UCHC Regular Season Title After Downing Hilbert, 8-0

Nazareth will be the #1 seed for the UCHC Tournament.

HAMBURG, NY – For the fifth-straight season the #6-ranked women's hockey team has secured the UCHC regular season title following a dominating 8-0 victory over Hilbert on Saturday.The Golden Flyers improve to 22-0-1 overall and 12-0 in UCHC play, while Hilbert fell to 1-21-1 and 0-12. Nazareth will have a bye to the UCHC semifinals which will be Saturday, February 28 with the time and opponent to be determined at Tim Horton's Iceplex. 

Amy Laskwoski netted her 24th goal of the season to set the Nazareth single season mark.

How it Happened:

  • Eight different players found the back of the net, and 13 Golden Flyers recorded at least one point.
  • Nazareth wasted no time asserting itself, striking three times in the opening period — including two power‑play goals.
  • Charlotte Crudale opened the scoring at 6:07 on the power play.
  • Just over a minute later, Logan Marchese doubled the lead at even strength.
  • Laskowski capped the period with a power‑play strike at 19:36, her 24th of the season, off feeds from Ave Meteyer and Boettcher.
  • Nazareth broke the game open in the second period with four even strength goals
  • Tessa Fendelet scored her first of the season at 5:23.
  • Brooke Judkiewicz added her eighth of the year less than four minutes later.\
  • Maggie Jacoby scored her first of the season to make it 6-0
  • Sydney Gurlea pushed the lead to seven at 15:33.
  • The Golden Flyers added one more in the third when Alexis Jones scored her first of the season.
  • Lenny Manning earned the weekend sweep, making six saves

Game Notes:

  • Laskowski posted a three‑point night (1G, 2A) to push her season total to 43.
  • Judkiewicz had a goal and an assist, finishing +3.
  • Meteyer and Meredith Boettcher each recorded two assists.
  • The Golden Flyers went 2-for-3 on the power play
