Rochester, NY. The Nazareth women's basketball team hosted Utica on Friday night, pushing their win streak to seven games by defeating Utica, 53-37. The Golden Flyers flyers are now 15-4 overall and 9-1 in league play, while Utica drops to 6-13 and 2-8, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nazareth held Utica to just 7 and 5 points in the opening to quarter and led 26-12 heading into the break
- Sarina McDowell started of the 3rd quarter strong with a successful lay-up despite being fouled and finished the traditional 3-point play
- The Nazareth women played a great defensive game, with 32 defensive rebounds and forced 18 turnovers on Utica.
GAME NOTES
- Katie MacLachlan had another great game, leading the team with 21 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.
- Kiara Anglin dominated the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds.
